First Impressions Speaker | Cal Amir — Keynotes & Workshops
Keynote Speaker · Workshop Facilitator · Guest Lecturer

Confidently create memorable first impressions.

Most people don't know how to introduce themselves in a business environment. In rooms full of important people, the first 60 seconds is where you get noticed or overlooked. I work with founders, executives, and teams to increase their chances of getting noticed.

// ABOUT CAL

About Cal.

Cal left a well paying job as an investment banker in New York to travel around the world for a year. Upon returning, he focused his time on advising businesses on strategy as well as helping leaders, founders, and rising professionals on how to sharpen the way they communicate at networking events, interviews, meetings, pitches, and beyond.

As a Communications Expert, Cal has harnessed the ability to present himself effectively in social situations which has allowed him to connect with others and leave a lasting impression. This has led to countless business opportunities, friendships, partnerships, and a global network of talented people.

Often times when we first meet people, we don't know what to say or how to introduce ourselves effectively. This can leave us feeling awkward and unsure, which is then felt by the other person who in turn loses interest in getting to know us further.

Cal's work teaches participants to enhance their ability to connect with others both personally and professionally by learning how to create an impactful, memorable introduction that reflects who you are, your values, and the uniqueness that you bring.

Cal has guest lectured at UCLA on the topic of communications and connection. He is also an executive producer of a Tribeca Film Festival award-winning documentary that was acquired by Netflix and Amazon Prime.

// THE WORK

"I'm sorry, who are you again?"

Be memorable.

If you've ever heard that question, you already know the cost. The wrong impression in the first 60 seconds doesn't just slow a conversation down. It quietly closes doors you didn't even see were open.

The people you want to remember you are the hardest ones to make remember you. Founders pitching investors. Leaders walking into rooms full of strangers. Salespeople meeting prospects who've already decided to be skeptical. The higher the stakes of the room, the smaller the margin for error in those first moments.

Cal works with founders, leadership teams, sales organizations, and universities on what to say, how to land, and why the smallest moments end up doing the heaviest lifting. The goal isn't to be impressive. It's to be remembered, for the right reasons, by the people you actually want to remember you.

// A FREE GUIDE

5 mistakes people make when they introduce themselves.

A short field guide to the moments that quietly decide whether someone keeps listening. Here's one of them.
Mistake 04 of 05
Forgetting the other person's name.
A person's name is the sweetest word in the world to them. When you forget it seconds after they tell you, you make it harder for them to feel seen, and harder for yourself to build any real connection. Most people don't even realize they're doing it.
+ 4 more mistakes inside, with the fix for each.
